Toronto’s Caribbean Carnival’s Grand Parade took place on Saturday August 3rd on Lakeshore Boulevard West. It was my first time going, and an awesome experience.
I started off around Dunn Avenue and Lakeshore Boulevard West. The pedestrian bridge over Lakeshore provided a great birds-eye view of the parade.
Once off the bridge, I took pictures along the fence at Marilyn Bell Park. Lots of people stopped to pose for pictures and I got a lot of candids too. The floats were beautiful!
When the end of the parade came along, I continued east along the park towards Exhibition Place. There were lots of food vendors set up. And places selling flags, t-shirts and hats as well.
The further east I went, the more crowded it got. I was able to walk for a bit on the parade route after it was over. I ended up near the main stage and got to see the mas bands competition. What an experience! High energy and great vibes all around. More pics below.
